You have a passion for developing new, innovative technologies and operating them at scale. You have experience working cross-functionally, across different business units, teams and technology stacks and differing service architectures. You are able to make decisions on your feet, think quickly to deliver valuable and scalable services and automation to drive VMware to the next frontier!

Cloud Services Integrations is part of the wider Cloud Services Operations organization. We are recognized thought leaders in building and operating SaaS services across VMware and drive the build & operate model across the business. What we build we operate, scale and grow across other service teams. We develop new innovative frameworks, services, integration and platforms that enables our teams to operate seamlessly across the business.

Your Day

We build & operate services – because its key to everything we do as we drive service ownership model across all aspects of our business. We educate, enable, support, build & operate technologies that enable our wider R&D teams to focus on their core capabilities. We believe in treating work in a shared and open model, supporting each other in the services we build and always listening for feedback.

Required Skills/Experience

• U.S. Citizenship required;  most of the work in this role will be with U.S. Government customers that have citizenship requirements.

• Strong communication skills with an ability to relay incident details expeditiously, concisely, and accurately

• Highly motivated, quality conscious self-starter that requires little to no supervision, able to own tasks from start to finish

• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Developing in or supporting one or more of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, Go and/or NodeJS

• Participating in an on-call rotation across our team

• Developer with AWS SAM, Lambda, S3 and AWS Services

Desired Skills/Experience

• Knowledge of build automation and continuous integration/delivery processes and tools: Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Docker, Nexus, Artifactory, Selenium and Kubernetes

• Experience developing in or supporting one or more of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, Go and/or NodeJS

• Rest API integrations and Rest interface management, integrations and best practices

• Documentation and Runbooks experience
