Software Engineering Lead – WSD (Windows Servicing & Delivery)

WSD (Windows Servicing & Delivery)?is responsible for?keeping the Windows ecosystem?always?up-to-date?to ensure customers are protected and productive.?That work encompasses?the engineering of changes to the Windows OS?and working on?the multitude of cloud services that are part of the robust pipeline required to?efficiently deliver?these changes to over a billion customers?in consumer and enterprise scenarios across on-premises and cloud configurations.The?team?provides opportunities?in?multiple areas of interest,?spanning across operating system internals, scalable services for supporting the delivery of updates to a?vast and?heterogeneous ecosystem?that’s constantly growing, and?intelligent monitoring of?the health of that ecosystem.?There are?also?continuous efforts to improve?internal engineering systems leveraged by the team, always considering industry standards to improve efficiency and agility.?WSD?provides programs and services to promote development agility, experience &?customer engagement and fuels growth in our security business through device and cloud innovations.We are looking for an engineering manager to work with and lead a set of world class software engineers who are responsible for updating Windows in-market to keep our customers protected and productive.

As an engineering manager you will model, coach and care for this diverse set of engineers to achieve success.

You will have the opportunity to influence the roadmap of new and existing features in Windows both to address key customer feedback/scenarios and improve security.

Shipping every month to over a billion Windows customers requires an efficient engineering workflow and provides you the opportunity to continue to innovate in this space to drive up quality and reduce time to market for our customers.
