Systems Engineer (Experienced)


This is a Contract position in Tukwila, WA posted March 8, 2021.

Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for one systems engineer to join their team in Tukwila, WA. This positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization to propose, develop and execute modification programs for United States Navy C-40A aircraft. A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Sr. Talent Acquisition Leader to implement candidate-centric recruitment strategies helping to enable the BGS business to meet their organizational goals. Position Responsibilities: Develop proposals to provide new or updated capabilities to the C-40A fleet Manage fleet level modification programs Support modification work in the field, and be the liaison between the modification team and program management Review engineering drawings and work with design, Liaison and Manufacturing Engineering, Quality inspectors, and operations teams to resolve issues Participate in the development of systems engineering and certification documentation Attend industry conferences and meetings with USN personnel Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Develops solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. Be a positive, self-motivated team player who can work with all levels of personnel internal and external to Boeing This is a union-represented position Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, physics or chemistry – ABET standard usual language 9 years of experience in an engineering position Previous experience working on Boeing commercial aircraft Previous experience working directly with customers Must have the physical ability to evacuate an aircraft, bend, stoop, or work in confined areas on an aircraft Must have excellent communication, project management, presentation, and facilitation skills, and the ability to effectively work in a team environment Must have the ability to multi-task with a broad spectrum of duties · The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with modifications and testing of previously delivered aircraft Familiarity with the Boeing 737NG Experience with FAA and military certification Experience working with a U.S. Military customer MRB certification and former Boeing Liaison Engineering experience Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).
