Position: Part-time Company Store Clerk Location: Selah, WA Job Id: 1253-A # of Openings: 1 Position requires the employee to be available Monday-Friday, 1:00 pm-4:30 pm.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:The Company Store Clerk assists in promoting sales of Tree Top products and merchandise with employees, growers, and the public. Position assists Store Manager to plan and offer a healthy, affordable, and quality source of deli/baked goods for breakfast and lunch for employees and the public; Position helps to maintain goodwill with others; assists in the day-to-day sales of the store; assists with donations, shipping samples, and products; takes phone orders; and ensures displays are stocked. The Company Store Clerk also ensures the Store reflects Tree Top’s Vision, Mission, and Values as it is the first point of contact of Tree Top for community members.WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:This position reports to the Company Store Manager and does not supervise. The position works with employees, growers, vendors, and the general public.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(The essential functions listed below are not intended to reflect all duties that may be assigned to this position. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. Tree Top has identified personnel that will serve as backups for key personnel in the event that said employee is absent or unavailable. These provisions can be found within the organizational chart. Tree Top may augment duties, including essential functions, at its discretion.)Assist with the daily operations of the store. Accurately ring up and handle customer’s purchases, take phone orders, and open/close out the store. Greet and interact with customers on a daily basis.Assist with the determination of the weekly menus and offerings of food available for sale and ensure appropriate quantities are on hand to meet catering orders and daily menus.Food prep as needed to include, slicing of meat & cheese, washing dishes, making espresso drinksMaintain appearance of the outlet store. Ensure displays and shelves are stocked daily with products. Clean, sweep, mop, and dust as needed.Prepare orders for shipment via UPS or FedEx. Maintain an understanding of the forms and systems in place.Prepare and wrap products as needed, particularly as they pertain to variety packs or baked goods.Have regular attendance and work-appropriate number of hours to get the essential functions completed.Perform under the Working Conditions described below.QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:KNOWLEDGE OF:Mathematics with regards to cash and credit card handling.General understanding of information in the daily reporting of store operations.Effective business communication and customer service.Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations.ABILITY TO:Effectively coordinate a variety of projects and tasks.Work independently.Accurately perform daily cash and credit card till transactions.Gather, evaluate, and interpret information.Effectively organize, plan, and execute.Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.Meet behaviors established in Tree Top’s performance management and development process.EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING:High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.Minimum of one year of experience in cashiering, retail, customer service or related field.Food Service experience preferred.Current Food Handler’s card.WORKING CONDITIONS: Constantly works in a store environment and occasionally has exposures to office and outdoor environmentsOccasionally travels to other worksites, for off-site meetings, and for training purposesOccasionally works under tight time constraints or with business activities of a seasonal/cyclical natureOccasionally works with dissatisfied or angry customersPhysical requirements of the job:Constantly lifts up to 20 pounds, frequently lifts up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifts up to 100 poundsVision requirements: Constantly uses far vision, near vision, and color visionConstantly lifts, crouches, talks, stands, walks, pulls, kneels, reaches, pushes, stoops, grasps, and/or uses hearingFrequently climbs, types, uses repetitive hand motions, crawls, and/or sitsOccasionally drivesPersons with disabilities may be able to perform the essential duties of this job with reasonable accommodation.
