LAKE CUSHMAN MAINTENANCE COMPANY CLASSIFICATION DESCRIPTION SEASONAL/ PART TIME OFFICE CLERK GENERAL FUNCTION: Underdirection of the Administrative Services Manager, performs a variety of duties in support of the LCMC Administrative Services operations. REPRESENTATIVE ESSENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list is intended only to illustrate the various types of work that may be performedby a person within this position description/classification. Performs reception work and provides information and/or documentation to internal and/or external customers/clients; maintains security and confidentiality. Responds to member requests for LCMC Park Passes by vetting the requestor, confirming payment, filling and delivering orders per requestor’s instruction and logging pass information. Responds via radio communication to requests for information from Security and Parks Personnel. Assists with Administrative Staff projects as needed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Knowledge of: General office policies, principles and practices. Computer software applications relative to the position assignment. Proper English grammar, usage and spelling. Basic accounting and mathematics. Operation of standard office equipment that may include personal computer, copier, scanner, fax machines, postage machine, radio and multi-line telephone. Keyboarding and operation of a personal computer and applicable software. Electronic communications using MS Outlook. Data entry. Oral and written communication. Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive matters. Customer service – in person, via email and telephone (discretion, patience, etiquette, professionalism). Interpersonal and human relations. Following oral and written instructions. Working independently, prioritizing workload and adapting to changes in workload demands. Following through on assignments as directed. Conducting research on a specific work assignment. EMPLOYEMENTREQUIREMENTS Any combination of education and experience, equivalent to having obtained a high school diploma or GED with course work in general office practices, and one year experience with computer data entry and retrieval, electronic communications and customer service. APPOINTMENT AND REMOVEAL AUTHORITY Paragraph 3.02 of the LCMC Personnel Policies defines the appointment and removal authority for personnel in this classification.
