Clerk is responsible for keeping and maintaining records of inbound and outbound trucks. Will prepare documents for shipment of customer orders. Clerk will assist with arranging for the transportation of products. Clerk will also be conducting customer services.JOB DUTIES:* Prepare sales orders for shipment of customer.* Fax all sales orders invoices to Bakersfield* Verify customer orders and matches order to information in Red Prairie and JD Edwards.* Maintains record for all inbound loads.* Prepare invoices and documents for export orders (bill of lading, COAs, Phytos, etc).* Confirm vehicle gross weights before trailer gets loaded.* Confirm all product temperatures meet the requirements to load* Confer or correspond with establishing representatives with any issues such as shortages, damages, or weight issues.* Communicate with dispatcher and truck drivers* Schedule appointments for loads pick up* Direct truck to loading docks* Answer phone call regarding shipping information* Other duties as assigned.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORMinimum Qualifications:* Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.* Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer needs.* Capable of having excellent customer service experience.* Must have excellent business professionalism while working in a fast-paced environment.* Ability lo multitask in a fast-paced office environment.Additional Required Qualifications:* Must be able to read and interpret documents such as operating equipment; safety rules and regulations, and work orders* Ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and regulations* Able to train employees, plan, assign, direct, address complaints and resolve problemsPhysical Demands:* Environmental exposure- cold/wet conditions (40 ° or below)* Material exposure-moving mechanical parts* Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles and vibrations* Able to lift, slide, and carry up to 50 lbs.* Able to stand for an extended period of time* During the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognize that certain “non-essential worker” personnel may at times store consumer-facing materials (including, but not limited to, EADs, coupons, promotional materials, etc.) offsite from Company locations, such as at associates’ homes or in vehicles.
