Job Purpose:Responsible for preforming maintenance, repair and upkeep of all buildings tools and equipment.

Responsible for providing preventative maintenance including a safe and sanitary environment to the plant and surrounding grounds.Duties:* Be a role model in projecting and applying the Ocean Companies philosophy to strive for excellence in productivity, quality, and teamwork.* Be on call as needed.* Assess maintenance and repair problems with follow-up.* Perform minor plumbing, electrical work and repair equipment when breakdowns occur to maintain production.* Learn set up, operation, adjustments and operating parameters of production equipment.*Develop open communication with machine operators, supervisors and managers.* Bring production equipment to a good operating standard and improve work order system and develop a return to service, i.e.

production certification.* Paint any necessary areas, as needed.* Work on new installation projects.* Perform a daily walk
– through as assigned to spot possible problems or safety issues.* Remedy any unsafe conditions ASAP and follow all safety rules and regulations.* Complies with local, state, national, and other related electrical codes and standards by directing and monitoring the work of craftsmen, vendors, contractors, and heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning staff; inspecting the facility, systems, and equipment.* Implements changes, expansions, and additions to electrical and equipment systems by identifying problems; keeping abreast of new developments; using statistics and equipment history reports.* Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting maintenance actions; noting system or equipment irregularities requiring continued monitoring.* Maintains safe and clean working environment by developing and enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.* Maintains electrical parts and equipment inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed electrical parts and equipment; placing and expediting orders for parts and equipment; verifying receipt of parts and equipment.* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.* Safety must be a first priority and repair aesthetic defects i.e.

seals, hinges, hangers, etc.
