Building & Grounds Maintenance Technician

Okanogan County Fairgrounds Facility

Applications are being accepted for the position of Temporary Building & Grounds Maintenance Technician for the Okanogan County Fairgrounds Facilities. This is a full-time position. The starting salary for this position is $14.21 per hour.

Summary: Under general guidance of the Maintenance Coordinator, performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled work in maintenance, repair and modification of County Fair building and grounds including the Agri-Plex. Maintains the cleanliness of all Fairgrounds facilities and landscaping. Requires independence, judgment, and initiative in determining maintenance needs, in prioritizing and organizing work, and in determining the appropriate action to be taken.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires knowledge of the field of assignment sufficient to perform thoroughly and accurately the full scope of responsibilities as illustrated by examples in the above description of duties.
Possession of a valid Washington State Driver License.
High School diploma or the equivalent.

Special Requirements:

• Ability to satisfactorily pass a comprehensive, in-depth driving history and background investigation that shows no activity that could directly affect the ability to perform the job.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to drive a manual transmission
Knowledge and experience with the County Fair
