Contract – Associate R/D Technician

Support engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video circuits, and logic systems. Work from defined test plans (with engineers) to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in qualifying devices/parts and determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus Analyze and test to ANSI pre qualifications on complex test equipment.

• Build and modify prototypes.
• Assist in qualifying parts.
• Analyze and test to ANSI pre-qualifications.
• Test system development and implementation.
• Operate complex testing equipment.
• Interpret test data.
• Solder with surface mount components.
• Follow schematics and prints.
• 1 – 2 years of experience
• Problem solving and rapid learning capabilities
• Previous formal functional/solution test experience
• Collaboration/teaming ability
• Associate degree (technology or equivalent experience)
