About the role:

The Electrical-Mechanical Technician supports Operations and Research & Development in regards to mechanical, electrical, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of process operations and facility equipment with an additional focus on predictive and preventative maintenance.

What you’ll be doing:

Facility/building maintenance; may require some tasks in carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, HVAC, plumbing, welding and mechanical.
Ensures daily maintenance and repair activities are tracked/logged and performed safely and in a timely manner and closed out effectively.
Interfaces with operators and engineers to understand and find “root cause” of equipment problems and hazards in need of service, repair and/or replacement of components, communicates those options/suggestions and proposes fixes and improvement ideas to pertinent technical staff.
Repairs, maintains, and installs electrical systems and equipment such as motors, drives, wiring and associated devices.
Repairs, maintains, and installs mechanical systems and equipment such as pumps, piping, and associated systems.
Participates in new installations and modifications to existing equipment.
Proficient in electrical troubleshooting; high volt, low volt & controls circuits.
Able to fabricate fixtures, stands, covers, and assemblies from provided drawings.
Must be able to identify and specify materials and procedures required for repair and/or rebuilding of manufacturing equipment.
Assists in developing, executing, and expanding a Preventive Maintenance program and working towards a tracking system with predictive maintenance practices, while being flexible to cover emergency maintenance.

What we’re looking for:

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in industrial electro/mechanical maintenance.
Must be capable of interfacing with other departments/personnel for the purpose of developing and/or supplying information to ascertain and achieve processing requirements.
Understanding of Preventive Maintenance programs.
Understanding of LOTO.
Ability to machine/repair parts using a milling machine, lathe, surface grinder, drill press, etc.
Able to fabricate fixtures, stands, covers, and assemblies from provided drawings.

Must be able to read, follow and identify components depicted on schematics and engineered drawings.
Must be able to operate forklift and aerial lift platforms.
Must be able to handle physical heavy lifting of materials/tools up to 75 pounds. Heavier materials may require assistance.

Other qualities we’d love for you to have:

Working knowledge of Parker, Allen Bradley, and Siemens AC variable frequency drives, PLCs and associated protocols.
Experience working in a constantly changing start-up environment.
