Maintenance Technician

This is a Full-time position in Wenatchee, WA posted May 19, 2021.

Maintenance Technician
– Swing Shift This position is responsible for the implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading of the production and plant equipment located at the Wenatchee plant.

The Maintenance Tech must understand the mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and electrical aspects of the production and plant equipment.

Must be able to work calmly and safely in pressure situations.

The job duties include, but are not limited to the following: Duties:Equipment: Includes the operation and maintenance of all shop equipment and tools.

Manage, priorities and execute projects & tasks related to repairs, safety, preventive maintenance and efficiencyimprovement.

Operate powered industrial equipment such as lifts.Parts: Back up and assist the Plant Mechanic in ordering, storing and updating the inventory of spare partsand equipment.

Be able to use the computer, internet, and various computer applications as required.Quality: Work closely with all equipment operators & operations supervisor to resolve quality issues relating to production equipment.Reliability: Ensure equipment reliability through a preventative maintenance program.

This includes the distribution, creation, and revision of reports as well as the responding to all maintenance requests.With the Plant Mechanic, execute major improvement and maintenance projects includingDistributors: Back up and assist the Plant Mechanic in establishing new and maintain old relationships with outside contractors and distributors.

Make decisions regarding price, service and availability of parts during high pressure situations.

Cost estimating, vendor selection and completing purchase requisitions.Safety: Design and implement solutions to safety concerns raised by personnel.

Comply with and maintain adherence to Company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.

Report all hazardous conditions to the Operations Supervisor or Plant Manager immediately for corrective action.Employee Relations: Maintain good employee relations with all employees, vendors, and contractors.

Adhere to Company policies and procedures.

Refer all employee complaints, warnings, employee records and employee relations issues to the Operations Supervisor or Plant Manager.

Qualifications:Must be able to demonstrate skills in a hands-on skill test.

Prior mechanical, electrical, welding, fabrication, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Must be able to read, understand and sketch technical drawings and documentation.

Must possess valid driver’s license.

Scheduled Hours: Swing Shift**This position is on call 24 hours a day during production****Cellphone required****Scheduled hours subject to change as determined by business needs**Overtime Requirements: Overtime and weekends as needed.

Working Conditions: Physically demanding work.

Lifting up to 50 lbs.

Walking, stooping, bending, climbing ladders, and standing on a cement floor in a production environment.

No air conditioning.

Working around and with manufacturing machinery.
