Industrial Maintenance Technician

Description
Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain extrusion production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the plant 24×7 manufacturing operations.

This position also supports strategic manufacturing operations plan and objectives; maintains records; supports a safe and healthy work environment.

Job Requirements:

Essential Job Functions:

• Repair and maintain high speed production equipment

• Install new equipment

• Follow established P.M.

program

• Machine/line troubleshooting

• Rebuilding equipment

• Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• High School diploma or GED required

• Experience as a Journeyman Mechanic/Machine Repair Tradesman preferred

• Proficient in reading mechanical prints and schematics

• Ability to use all shop tools

• Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees.

• Problem solving skills; exercises good judgment in determining best method and procedure to be followed.

• Electrical Skills and Knowledge preferred.

• Computer skills, including but not limited to MS Office Outlook, Excel and Word.

Experience

• Three (3) or more years of experience in machinery assembly, plant maintenance or other related field preferred.

• Experience with extrusion or packaging production equipment preferred.

• Electrical and low voltage certifications preferred.

• Journeyman license in mechanical or electrical preferred.

• Forklift certification, or ability to obtain it.

• Or any combination of education and experience that provides the same expertise.
