Maintenance Technician

This is a Contract position in Bothell, WA posted April 14, 2021.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for operation, repairing and maintaining equipment related to building(s), production, utilities, lighting, and plumbing during day or swing shift.In addition, the technician will complete all work in accordance with safety procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Performing required facilities and maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager
  • Troubleshooting equipment and systems
  • Assessing necessary services for new equipment installations
  • Performing general facility repairs, and diagnostics for electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, DI, and waste control systems.
  • Must be willing to work as part of a collaborative team
  • Must be able to work safely and to comply with the company’s health, safety and environmental (EH&S) policies and procedures.
  • TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time.
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Education and Experience (in years):

  • High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 4-6 years of related work experience OR
  • AA or Technical Trade Degree with 2-4 years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge and skills:

  • Journeyman level commercial maintenance skills in multiple disciplines.
  • Must have good interpersonal, listening, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Physical requirements/abilities:

  • Must be able to lift to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand or squat 50% to 100% of the day.
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions while performing tasks in different environments including rooftop work.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator which consists of passing a medical survey, pulmonary function test and be medically cleared by a physician
  • Other:

  • Must be able to support On-Call needs as scheduled
  • Must be able to work overtime with little or no notice and be willing to work in a rotational on-call schedule with a response time of one-hour or less.
  • PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years related biotech or commercial facilities maintenance experience is preferred;
  • Previous biotech or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Washington State 07 Specialty Electrician license or training card preferred.
