We are seeking a full-time Line Mechanic to support our growing company.
Job Description
Summary
/Objective
The Line Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the sorting, and packing lines.

This is accomplished through a regular schedule of timely maintenance and upkeep of all related equipment, along with daily inspection of active equipment.
This position reports to the Mechanic Manager.
Essential Functions
Support our packing facility by resolving technical issues, installing, maintaining and upgrading equipment.

Ensure operation of equipment by utilizing “repairing when needed” techniques.

Perform scheduled maintenance for all pre-size, sorting and packing equipment.

Perform emergency repairs to pre-size, sorting and packing equipment to keep equipment operable until schedule allows time to make permanent repairs Observe all equipment for proper function while in operation; including visual, audible, or other maintenance indications.

Notify Mechanic Manager of parts, tools, and supplies needed to adequately perform required jobs.

Assist with training and orientation of Mechanic Attendant and Production Line employees.

Supervisory Responsibility
The Line Mechanic role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the job site.

The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications
Required
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.

Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment.

2+ years of related experience in packing machines/production machines.

Preferred Education And Experience
Knowledge of pre-size, sorting and packing equipment which allows trouble-shooting, tearing down and reassembling equipment on short notice.

OSHA Certifications Basic electrical knowledge.

Additional Information
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.
