Providence is calling an Admission Coordinator (RN) (0.6 FTE, Night Shift) to work in Nursing Management at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

Seasoned Acute Care Clinician with the knowledge and experience to manage and troubleshoot the placement of patients in a Transfer Center doing centralized bed management. This includes the triage of direct admissions and transfers from community clinics and hospitals serving a 5 county region. In collaboration with the Administrative Supervisor this position is responsible for overall throughput of patients in a safe, efficient manner while ensuring optimal utilization of resources to meet patient care needs.

In this position you will:

• Facilitates and coordinates all inpatient bed management for hospital utilizing comprehensive, integrated bed management software assuring appropriate patient placement according to bed placement guidelines.
• Provides consultation and direction for efficient operation and quality customer service.
• Directs and collaborates staffing with staffing specialists, charge nurses and unit leadership to assure appropriate staffing levels and efficient use of resources is maintained.
• Maintains situational awareness as it relates to codes and emergency situations. Assists and intervenes with bed management during Incident Command in disaster response or other emergency crisis situations.
• Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures for the safe placement of patients based on patient attributes & hospital staffing guidelines in accordance with PRMCE patient placement guidelines.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelor’sDegreeinNursing(BSN)
• 3 years recent clinical charge nurse experience in an acute care setting
• Currently licensed through the State of Washington as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS certification

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• Master’s DegreeinNursing(BSN) or concurrent enrollment in an accredited program
• Previous experience in Emergency, Triage or Critical Care
• Previous experience in care coordination or case management
• Certification in area of specialty
