Camano Water Association Water System Technician/Operator

Salary Range: $22 – $26 p/h

Camano Water Association (CWA) is looking to fill the role of Water System Technician/Operator. The
individual chosen for this position will be under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, who
is responsible for routine operations, systems operations and equipment maintenance, water sampling,
customer service, and regulatory compliance. As such, whether a candidate has prior experience or not,
our current Operator will be responsible for deciding the day-to-day scope and workload of the
successful candidate. This list of possible work duties is not exhaustive, and any/all tasks considered
within the scope and spirit of the position are expected to be undertaken by the successful candidate.
The position is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) employee.
While experience and prior certifications in the water field are preferable, they are not a requirement
initially. The position does include on-the-job training, as well as ongoing mandatory certification
training outside of the Association itself. Training opportunities will be determined over time depending
on the initial skill and abilities of the successful candidate. A final salary determination will be based
upon experience in the water business (if any) at hiring.
