Role Summary:

The Treasury Management Operations Specialist II will be responsible for the daily operations and servicing of Gesa Credit Union’s member businesses who utilize treasury management services. This includes the support and training of Treasury Management Specialists, response to audits, establishing and meeting service levels, and the oversight of business ACH/MDC originators. This position needs to have the ability to manage and oversee complicated treasury management relationships.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Perform ACH processing such as edit ACH reports, post or return rejected items, return ACH items through Federal Reserve lines, as well as, positive pay files.
  • Complete the ACH audit annually.
  • Build and maintain procedures, establish and meet service levels outlined in the agreed upon SLA.
  • Process business account ACH files via the on-line banking application.
  • Set up businesses for the service and offer professional support for all related treasury management services.
  • This position will be the second line of treasury management member service resolution for inquiries and problems from incoming member and service center phone calls, emails, and in person queries. Display flexibility and responsiveness to internal team members and external business members according to the exceptional service pillars adopted by the organization.
  • Help to enhance and understand the vendor relationships that provide treasury management products and services.
  • Ability to be the business matter expert on organizational projects.
  • Assist the Commercial Banking Group staff in servicing existing business relationships.
  • Stay abreast of new and innovative treasury management products and services, and present proposals to management when necessary.
  • Assist the small business development officers with some member product onboarding for services such as ACH, wire, online banking, account analysis, positive pay, and sweep accounts. They will assist with product implementation, internal system set up, and member training including review of electronic security, fraud safety precautions, and best practices.
  • Manage the annual review of Treasury Management relationships and complete the analysis to address transactional risk and credit risk.
  • Must understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities, as well as, display good knowledge of NACHA and check regulations.
  • Attend credit union training sessions, conferences and seminar as approved by their Supervisor. Maintain awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities.

  • Ability to respond to team members, and business members in a timely professional manner.
  • Ability to promote and participate in a cohesive team environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality relative to member’s accounts/loans.
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgment in problem solving.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor regarding matters of product or servicing escalation issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage workflow to provide a high level of member service.

What You Will Need:

  • Two years of similar or related experience.
  • High School Graduate or higher preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and business software.
  • General knowledge and understanding of banking products and business services preferred.
  • Some travel is required to set up Treasury Management services at member business locations, credit union training or events, to fulfill duties, and for career development as approved.
  • A valid driver license is required.
