The basic assignment is 177 contract days with a salary of $57,691.00 and the High Demand stipend is $5,000.00 additional.

Contribute to the appreciation of diversity and foster a climate of multicultural understanding.QUALIFICATIONS YOU POSSESS:Minimum Qualifications:Graduate degree in biochemistry, organic chemistry, or a related food and beverage chemistry fieldDemonstrated experience designing curriculum for diverse learners.Demonstrated experience teaching and/or working with persons from diverse backgrounds such as sexual orientation, racial, ethnic, religious, linguistic, gender, age, socio-economic, physical and learning abilities, and a commitment to an inclusive and equitable working/learning environment.Collaborative –
– The ability to work in culturally diverse groups toward a common goal by involving, including and valuing others.Flexibility –
– The ability to respond and adapt to new and changing situations.Preferred Qualifications:Two years of experience managing a quality assurance and control lab that is TTB-recognized or FDA-regulated or willingness to learn these skills.Familiarity with, or willing to learn skills related to, operating and servicing the following instruments with mass spectrometers (MS): Gas Chromatograph (GC-MS), Liquid Chromatorgraph (LC-MS), and High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC-MS).

Familiarity with matrix assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF).Research, professional experience, or willingness to learn skills related to analyzing fermentation metabolites or raw ingredient quality.Familiarity with, or willing to learn about, brewing, wine, or distilling industry trends and ability to develop quality protocols.Demonstrated experience or participation with persons from diverse backgrounds such as sexual orientation, racial, ethnic, religious, linguistic, gender, age, socio-economic, physical and learning abilities, and a commitment to an inclusive and equitable working/learning environment.
