Our customers include global money center banks and other leading financial services firms, manufacturers, healthcare and life sciences organizations, Internet service and telecommunications providers, airlines and transportation companies, educational institutions, and public-sector agencies.About Your RoleAs an Associate Systems Engineer (ASE I), you will participate in the Global Services Associate Program (GSAP) to acquire the required skills and knowledge to perform and excel core job responsibilities.

You will be provided with the necessary training and mentoring to set a firm foundation for your entry into a career in EMC’s Pre-Sales organization.

This intensive role-based training includes an introduction to the storage industry, best practices and methodologies and the EMC way of doing business.

After Boot Camp, you will transition to your home office and begin working in your full time role directly impacting EMC’s Total Customer Experience.

You will assist more senior systems engineers in the analysis and design of technology solutions and provides technical expertise in support of Pre-sales activities.

You will be responsible for achieving and maintaining specialist level technical acumen within assigned practice specialty and may assist in the development of responses to RFP’s, RFI’s, RFQ’s and proposals as required.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Assists with development of technical strategies to deliver EMC solutions that support customer business objectivesWorks under the general guidance of a more senior Systems EngineerSupports analysis of customer’s business objectives.

Gathers information from customers that enable the Pre-Sales team to devise a proposed solutionParticipates in qualifying sales opportunities in the terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision making process and funding.Assists with solution configuration by leveraging technical expertise and other resources (EMC Knowledge bases, EMC Specialists, EMC Shares Services, other role-specific tools)Assists with the development of the technical aspects of sales campaignsConfigures and documents EMC software, hardware and service solutions to meet customer and sales objectives.Completes pre-site qualification & documentation quickly & accuratelyEnsures proposed solutions meet the needs and functional requirements of the customerWorks through Pre-Sales operations processes, systems and tools such as DirectExpress, Solution Validation Center, Qualification process, etcAchieves specialty technical expertise and participates in virtual team discussions and educationAbout YouYou have a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline and between 2 and 5 years of relevant work experience.

You may be an EMC Proven Professional or a network or system administrator.

You would also have general knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Operations and may even have some knowledge of EMC storage technology & products.You understand the importance of a strong sense of urgency.
