Job Summary:

Supervises numerous assemblers and managing in-process material in order to meet production schedules while maintaining quality and cost objectives.

Essential Job Functions:

Supervises numerous assemblers and managing in-process material in order to meet production schedules while maintaining quality and cost objectives.

Responsible for production line safety, cross-training, individual development, and discipline of direct labor.

Utilize a visual factory to improve communication.

Monitors and reports on product throughput and quality.

Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

Develops staffing and training plans based on forecasted build plan.

Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and audits people and processes to ensure compliance with standards.

Responsible for the integrity of the Device History Record for products build by direct reports.

Administrates training records.

Ensures inventory accuracy.

Writes Periodic employee assessment and evaluations.

Supports New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.

Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company’s quality system.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum 3 years production line supervisory experience.

Proven ability to lead diverse groups of regular and temporary employees to achieve aggressive and flexible production schedules.  Experience ISO/GMP requirements.

Experience with production of medical products.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience with Oracle Business System and DataSweep or other electronic device history record system.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to train, coach, motivate, evaluate, and discipline employees.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Position requires regular documentation and communication regarding production status.

Thorough understanding of problem solving techniques and ability to participate/lead problem solving activities.

Working knowledge and application of modern production and material methodologies such as JIT, TQM, 5S, Lean Manufacturing etc.

Competent with PC and basic PC tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.).

Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs with or without accommodations.
