Auto Palletizer

This is a Contract position in Warden, WA posted November 13, 2020.

Job Description Summary
This position is a night shift position only.

Must be able to WORK & TRAIN on any shift (Day or Night).
Position openings may change with production needs.

Job Description
Ensures the capability of efficient operation of all equipment in the palletizing area by using preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and adjusting equipment to achieve operational goals. Equipment includes but is not limited to pallet dispenser, sheet dispenser, new and old Auto Palletizer, stretch wrapper, taper and settler, and roller and conveyer systems.
Does full inspection on the Auto Palletizer, reports and documents any problems with it.
Places slip sheets and/or tie sheets as required.
Communicates with manifest or production personnel as to stacking patterns and heights.
Selects product ID’s for product to be run.
Adjusts taping machines and replaces tape as necessary.
Hand palletizes and manually stretch wraps pallets.
Communicates with packaging lead and shift supervisor regarding problems with materials or equipment.
Keeps work area clean safely using all sanitation processes and procedures.
Performs the required safety engagement activities weekly.
Performs other functions as directed.
Job Qualifications
Maintain a good attendance record.
Able to communicate well in the English language in both oral and written form and specifically to be able to read and understand plant equipment (PLC’s, HMI’s) and manufacturers’ manuals, MSDS, and instructional manuals in English.
Record pertinent information on a daily logbook.
Have basic math skills.
Operate valves, touch screen, equipment and other controls.
Communicate orally with team leaders, operators, mechanics, supervisors, managers and peers in a professional manner.
Comply with all company policies and procedures and work safely.
Work under extreme conditions.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Stand for long periods.
Climb stairs on a frequent basis.
