ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Follow and promote all company customer service programs, i.e. Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Dialing for Dollars, Related Selling, etc.
Promptly greet walk-in customers in friendly, courteous manner and assist them in the selection of merchandise.
Assist manager, assistant manager and/or installer service specialist in serving the commercial customers as needed and directed.
Clock in/out at the appropriate time, following company policy.
Complete required LMS training modules relevant to position.
Accurately look up parts and make price quotations, advising customers on product application, while offering Low Price Guarantee to all callers.
Take telephone orders, make recommendations and suggestions of substitute or related items when necessary.
Properly maintain a cash drawer in accordance to store procedures while keeping secure throughout shift.
Accept cash and/or checks, and accurately make change. Process credit card transactions. Utilize card and check readers for each transaction.
Accept returned merchandise for credit, according to all policies and procedures.
Handle customer complaints.
Report inventory/stocking errors to store manager for correction.
Assist with completion of daily image maker, and planogram updates, including but not limited to, out front stocking, fronting and facing, cleaning etc.
Perform various types of clerical work, i.e., prepare new and warranty merchandise returns to be shipped to the distribution center, assist with monthly stock adjustments, and assist with daily paperwork, etc.
Maintain catalog and price sheets in an orderly manner.
Perform various value added services to our customers (where state and local laws allow) – (i.e.; install wipers, test and charge batteries, test charging system, scan vehicle computer, replace headlight, etc.)

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist in inventory.
Assist in unloading and unpacking incoming stock.
Occasionally drive delivery truck and make special deliveries, in accordance to company policy regarding driver safety and qualifications. Must have legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
Keep the counter and store areas neat and orderly.
Assist customers in carrying merchandise to their cars when necessary.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
