Job Description Summary:

Sets up and breaks down conference rooms according to event orders as well as maintains cleanliness standards for equipment and meeting rooms.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Sets up for upcoming events.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist in controlling costs.
  • Enforce all safety and security measures as outlined by hotel management.
  • Protect assets of the company.
  • Check the BEO and with the Conference Supervisor or Lead when coming on duty for specific instructions for the current functions and sets assigned.
  • Greet all guests in a courteous manner, displaying a helpful attitude.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs ensuring guests are provided with anything needed for their conference needs in a timely manner .
  • Unload trays and carts in the service area.
  • Keep areas neat and clean and supplied at all times.
  • Complete closing side work.
  • Assist Banquets in all areas.
  • Report hazardous conditions or broken equipment to the Maintenance Department immediately. In an emergency notify MOD the Maintenance Supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be proactive and have a positive attitude.
  • Ability to walk and stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
