What is the position where you can add value?

We are actively recruiting for a Production Lead for our Wenatchee, WA plant location within our Dolco Packaging Division of Tekni-Plex.

In this role you will be proficient in the understanding of polystyrene manufacturing equipment with a thorough knowledge of the thermoforming, printing and extrusion operations.

Train department employees in the set-up, operation, adjustment and maintenance of production equipment.

May be expected to fill in during the absence of the Shift Supervisor.

Will be able to direct work activities, schedule employees, prepare necessary documentation.

Extremely high skill level; is considered the “technical expert” on the team/shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

Monitors/mentors departmental personnel in the set-up, operation and maintenance of machinery.

Assists supervisor in directing daily activities to promote and maintain a clean, safe and efficient work area.

Troubleshoots equipment and makes appropriate machine repairs/adjustments.

Coordinates activity between various shifts to ensure smooth transition of duties.

Performs quality inspections on extrusion and thermoforming and printing operations.

Monitors production output, assists in the scheduling of employees.

Assists in employee evaluation and the proper completion of performance evaluations.

Reviews machine output against production demands and researches ways to improve productivity.

Reviews and ensures that all SPC data and production reports are complete.

Ensures that established company Safety Philosophy, policies, rules, regulations and procedures are followed, ensuring compliance with SQF/HACCP policies.
