Calibration Techician

The Calibration Technician is responsible for ensuring that Spacelabs equipment throughout the Snoqualmie site and field is calibrated as required, and records are accurate. This position works under the direction of Quality Assurance. Works closely with approved calibration service providers to ensure that calibration activities are successfully conducted and documented. Responsibilities Ensure on-time completion or remedial review forms. Stand in a liaison person for the organization and its clients to facilitate work activities with the calibration department. Ensure that calibration documents are up to date. Monitor the repair of difficult technical problems to prevent continuous break down of equipment. Perform basic calibrations and equipment repairs as required. Improve operational organization by initiating and/or authoring process improvements to calibration activities. Ensure calibrations are documented properly in the calibration database. Assists lower-level coordinators in completing assigned tasks Create and monitor performance metrics to ensure effectiveness of the calibration program. Support audit activities when required to present calibration necessary for internal and external audits. Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business. It is the responsibility of every Spacelabs Healthcare employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem. Qualifications Electro/Mechanical Technician degree/background preferred; relevant professional experience may substitute. 3+ years’ experience working in quality, manufacturing or lab environment. Highly regulated industry experience preferred; Medical Device highly preferred. Certified Calibration Technician certification from American Society for Quality (ASQ) preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the organization. Ability to manage priorities and meet schedules. Detail oriented and effective data skills. Experience working positively and productively in a team environment. Highly collaborative. Experience with calibrated measuring equipment and Good Manufacturing Practices. Ability to directly manage calibration tracking software. Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and calibration tracking software application. Ability to manage activities and initiatives through timelines to meet corporate goals.
