General Machine Operator

Express has paired with a manufacturing company in Sultan is recruiting for a Machine Operator. This is a long-term, direct hire position for someone who wants to grow with a long-standing company in the Sky Valley area. Machine Operator I
Location: Sultan, WA
Pay rate: You can earn up to $17.00 per hour, depending upon experience! There will be an added $.50 as a premium on top of the pay! The pay increases after the probationary period and is contingent upon attendance and performance.
Schedule: Monday – Thursday: 4:00am-2:30 pm, with mandatory overtime on Fridays.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Operating machinery or equipment
-Differentiating between the different sizes of subcomponents and finished products and their various types of compounds and finishes
-Cut, bend, roll, or press to size and ‘kit’ materials together for delivery to the appropriate production area; will be using electronic scales
-Load and unload subcomponent using material handling tools and equipment
-Inspect for proper materials, dimensions, and finishes to meet QA standards
-Label parts with date, material type, size, part #, and/or job #
-Coordinate delivery to ensure production schedule is met, and run a dispatch list
-Perform required operator maintenance
-Participate in physical inventories and safety audits
-Other duties as assigned
How to be successful:
-High School Diploma or equivalent combination of experience
-6+ months or more of recent manufacturing experience
-Basic math, reading, and computer knowledge
-Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to express complex concepts and ideas
-Proven excellent attendance record
-Lift up to 50 pounds
-Stand for the entire shift
-Differentiate colors to be able to identify color-coded wires
-Heavy labor experience
-Knowledge of the proper operation of an overhead crane/hoist
