C-17 Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineering) with Security Clearance

The Boeing Global Services (BGS) organization is seeking a remote Product Review Engineer (Level 1) to join as part of the on-site C-17 Field Operations team supporting Joint Base Lewis- McChord AFB, WA for the C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Partnership contract. Position Responsibilities: * Provide assessment and resolution of issues through the product lifecycle.
* Apply engineering principles and experience to research technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer.
* Develop and release interim and permanent engineering dispositions to ensure aircraft airworthiness and overall operational safety and effectiveness.
* Use innovative approaches and unique applications to solve complex nonconforming conditions. Identify, document, and analyze reported problems and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety.
* Provide design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews.
* Coordinate activities for on-site disabled aircraft repair/recovery teams, safety or accident investigation boards, and aircraft maintenance recovery teams.
* Develop and implement technical training curriculum for internal and external customers. Develop and implement product/process improvements.
* Ability to work for extended periods in a wide variety of cultural/economic environments.
* Provide engineering technical support of Test Program Sets (TPSs), C-17 Automated Test Equipment (CATE) Stations, and Operational Flight Program Loading System (OFPLS). * Investigate and provide corrective action for OFPLS, TPS, and CATE anomalies utilizing the System Problem Report (SPR-Boeing) and Quality Deficiency Report (QDR-AF) processes. Security Clearance Requirements : This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required): * Ability to obtain US Security clearance (post-start).
* Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (ABET preferred) Desired Qualifications/Experience : * Experience with troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical, electronic, and avionics systems * Experience analyzing aircraft data from various onboard recording systems Typical Education/Experience : Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in electrical engineering, (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
