Exercise Planner, Mid
Key Role:
Support the USARPAC exercise division in leading long-range and near-term planning, guidance and execution, operational assessment (OA) for division and corps, and theater-level exercises throughout the Indo-Pacific region. Coordinate with the Army service component and other services, functional, and component planners on long-range plans and conduct analysis of mission command. Contribute on the corresponding data analysis to design relevant, accurate, and realistic exercise materials that result in improved organizational mission performance, including planning, coordinating, and conducting Live-Virtual-Constructive exercise support. Prepare and manage exercise events that allow clients to discuss process initiatives and confirm viability and events to practice and execute processes to confirm efficiency and comprehension of performance and output expectations, including Operational Planning Teams (OPT), In-Progress Reviews (IPR), and After-Action Review (AAR). Maintain responsibility for formulating, developing, and assisting with implementing and documenting each assigned exercise, seminar, and engagement.
Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with operations as an Army Major or Captain
-5+ years of experience with tactical or operational planning at the division, corps, or theater level
-2+ years of experience in the Joint environment
-Experience with the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP)
-Experience with the five stages of the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC)
-Knowledge of the Global Theater Security Cooperation Management Information System (G-TSCMIS)
-Ability to travel to various countries as required by the USARPAC client for approximately 8 to 12 weeks per year
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Joint tests and experimentation
-Knowledge of multi-domain battle concepts
