Farm Hand Equipment operator

This is a Contract position in Roy, WA posted June 26, 2021.

Job Description Duties and responsibilities  Day to day general farm duties and maintenance as arranged by employer.  mowing with tractor and bobcat  Preparation of equipment and machinery for seeding and/or harvest.  Daily machinery maintenance and pre-start checks.  Operation of farm machinery including tractors, header, tillage equipment, grain bins and augers.  Chemical application to crops and pastures.  Workshop tidying and maintenance.  General servicing and maintenance of farm vehicles, small motors and other equipment.  Fencing and fence maintenance.  Stockwork including drenching, yard work and mustering.  Soil conservation activities including tree planting.  Check and maintain water systems (dams, windmill, pumps, tanks etc).  Domestic duties when required eg. rubbish disposal, mowing farmyard. Personal attributes  Demonstrate ability to carry out directions diligently working alone and with others, using information from other staff members and on site information.  Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring all the information you require to do the task is achieved prior to initiating it. I.e. – If you are not sure we would much rather you ask than attempt to do something without full understanding.  Provide prompt feedback of your activities and the outcome of tasks allocated to you.  Raise awareness to supervisor promptly and politely if you experience any problems or have any concerns with other team/staff members.  Determine your learning needs independently and also with the help of other team members – voice your needs and we will be more than happy to help.  Participate in team meetings positively and constructively.  Respond to what can be a highly changeable work environment at times.  Display problem solving ability (depending on level of experience).  Participate in monthly work reviews to ensure your progress is tracking along nicely.
