The extra board will be assigned to specific production departments such as power/recovery, paper machines and pulp mill. All extra boards work rotating 12 hour shifts (4-days on 4-days off) that includes graveyards, weekends and holidays. Extra boards can be assigned anywhere throughout the mill and will be trained to perform the bottom ladder jobs in their assigned area. There is a 90 day probationary period. Starting rate for the first 90-day is $17.47 per hour and after successful completion of the 90-days probationary period the base rate will be $24.91.Principle Accountabilities:General clean up throughout the mill using shovels, brooms, water hoses etc.Operate mobile equipment, including fork lifts, front end loaders, bobcat, roll grab and other types of mobile equipment.Learn and perform the essential duties of the bottom bid position in the assigned operating department (pulp mill, and paper machines).Other work as assigned.Basic Qualifications:Must be 18 years or olderMust have mechanical aptitude, good interpersonal skills, good planning and organizing skills, and a high degree of self-motivation.Must have at least 24-months of stable work history.Must be able to work rotating shifts as described above.Excellent history in safety in overall work record.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a manufacturing environmentThe successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work alone or in a team environment and build relationships with coworkersAbility to work safely in a labor intensive and fast paced environment.Ability to learn quickly and with attention to detailPCA offers a competitive compensation & benefits package.All qualified applicants must apply at Careers.packagingcorp.com to be considered.PCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer – Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories.
