What you’ll achieve

As the Global Cyber Technology Lead, you will partner with central security technology experts and advise internal clients on reference security architectures, application, and product security strategies. This will include developing the cybersecurity roadmap to support global technology change programs and existing technology stacks. As an experienced security and technology risk practitioner with exceptional business acumen and technical knowledge, you will operate in a global fast-paced, dynamic environment acting as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders.

You will:

• Formulate and implement a security strategy for business unit product security that is tailored to the specific security risks facing IT ecosystem and encapsulates topics such as threat modeling, application security, and vulnerability management
• Collaborate with product line managers & executive IT leaders to provide cybersecurity consulting support on various topics as required (e.g. architecture) to ensure compliance with security requirements
• Drive the implementation of cross functional technology governance including monthly stakeholder updates, metrics, and emerging risks
• Promote a forward-thinking alignment with relevant internal Dell standards for platform & application security, in addition to external literature i.e. Zero Trust Architecture
• Drive SDL adoption across product lines and ensure developers, engineers and product owners are leveraging DevSecOps capabilities provided by central SRO functions
• Lead security assessments of emerging IT development projects to understand the risk posture, apply critical thinking, and create security models
• Define and measure levels of security within the business, and deliver concrete improvement plans as appropriate in partnership with IT leaders

Essential Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working with software engineering teams with a focus on security
• 3+ years of experience with solutions using public/private/hybrid cloud services
• Moderate understanding of modern IT application architecture best practices and technologies including web applications, authentication technologies, PKI, and cryptography
• Proven ability to influence and partner with key IT leaders and staff in large multinationals

Desired Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience
• Relevant Information Security Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CEH, SANS, etc.)
• An understanding and application of security in different cultures, working across different countries, and experience in an international environment
• Familiarity with OWASP & SANS identified common security flaws, threat modeling (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK), automated & manual static security code analysis
• Experience in Financial Services and Regulatory environments
• Previous experience as a line manager/team lead is desirable
