Green chain Lumber Puller
Location: Sumas, WA
Pay: Earn $16.00 per hour to start. The pay increases after the probationary period and is contingent upon work ethic and attendance.
Schedule: Multiple shifts available: Day: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm OR Swing: Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Repeatedly identifying specific sized boards as they are coming down the chain and grading table
-Move, stack, and flip all sizes of lumber boards onto the pallets
-Keeping the kiln sticks neatly piled on a rack while they are being fed by a chain conveyor
-Piling dunnage and strapping kiln sticks on the stick palettes
-Doing sawmill operations working as a lumber grader
-Upgrading the boards
-Pulling lumber off the chain and scraping excess bark off it, then putting it back on the belt
How to be successful:
-Lift up to 75 pounds
-Comfortable working outdoors and as well as indoors
-Excellent attendance
-Bend, lift, and twist throughout the entire shift
