This is a Contract position in Kelso, WA posted June 14, 2021.

Overview ALS provides a broad range of testing and analytical services to a wide variety of end markets and industries around the globe. We continue to remain at the forefront of the testing services industry, building an enviable reputation. ALS provides a diversified line of independent analytical services to a wide range of top-tier customers in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, environmental, and food industries. Our diverse laboratories perform routine and specialty analytical testing for compliance, safety, certification and verification purposes.General Accountability:The primary purpose of this position is to prepare, analyze and evaluate samples using HPLC and LC/MS and to report data for release to clients. Knowledge of computers and mathematics are required.  Ability to work independently is preferred.  Duties will include maintenance of instruments and development of new methods. Responsibilities Specific Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze samples for LC/MS;Responsible for meeting calibration and QA requirements;Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner using LC/MS software and the ALS LIMS;Coordinate with other OLC analysts;Perform routine instrument maintenance procedures;Peer review HPLC and LC/MS data;Report OLC data and review reported results;Other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Possess a general knowledge of chemistry fundamentals and the ability to perform concentration and solution calculations; ability to understand terminology and principals in order to comply with analytical methods;Possess strong computer skills with knowledge in Excel and Microsoft Word; experience with or ability to learn industry specific software such as our laboratory information management system.Organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent problem solving capabilities; be able to work independently of supervision and work well with other analysts on the team;Ability to work overtime when necessary to meet TAT.
