Northwest Farm Credit Services: Loan Operations Specialist

Northwest Farm Credit Services is in search of an Operations Specialist to join our Loan Operations team in our Spokane Headquarters.

Our customers are primarily located in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Alaska.

Northwest FCS is a five-time recipient of the Gallup Great Workplace Award, and the top scoring large company in the Best Place to Work-Inland Northwest competition five years in a row.This full-time position reports to the Manager-Loan Operations and is responsible for providing centralized support to monitor, analyze and service the association’s portfolio.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms analysis and loan accounting for exceptions, reversals, corrections, account closures, manual future payment fund compounding and other maintenance.Reviews monitoring reports and takes appropriate action to ensure loan accounting transactions and daily operations activities are in compliance and control with loan terms, regulations, policies and procedures.Makes accurate accounting entries for loan fees and costs.Reconciles daily match report outages and clearing accounts.Works with management to review ongoing monitoring reports for efficiencies and implement improved operational practices.Performs back-up functions to other areas of Loan Operations as needed.Provides assistance and excellent customer service to other departments and branch offices.Minimum QualificationsAssociate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to follow internal control procedures to prevent fraud deficiencies, mishandling of funds and monetary transactionsKnowledge of finance and accounting principlesIn addition to a comprehensive suite of core benefits designed to support employees at all career stages, Northwest FCS provides all employees with 24 paid hours annually to volunteer in their communities; a substantial employer match to our award-winning 401(k) plan; a bonus plan; generous paid vacation, sick, and parental leave; and financial assistance for adoptions.
