About the role: An Operations Engineer’s primary role is to provide technical support and leadership to manufacturing operations.

Key to the success of the position is the identification, development, and implementation of productivity and quality initiatives to continuously drive out waste.

Responsibilities and Duties Drive continual improvement of our manufacturing processes and products through labor content reduction, process improvement, part and product re-design/resourcing activities, and quality improvement initiatives Develop and maintain accurate product item masters, bills of material, and labor routings within the ERP system Develop work instructions, critical to quality alerts, and standard work documentation to reduce variation and ensure high quality manufacturing processes Develop complex production fixtures, gages, and test processes along with cost justification, capital expenditure requests, and project management of their implementation.

Support new product development through participation on DFMEA teams, evaluation of prototype builds, and insuring manufacturing preparedness for NPD launches Interact with Quality Assurance and Field Service to investigate and resolve installation issues and customer complaints Ensure the safety of our associates by removing hazards when they can be engineered out and mitigation solutions when they cannot be removed Analysis and implementation of product/process engineering changes (ECRs) Provide disposition on discrepant materials & communicate effectively with suppliers to present technical insight and resolve discrepancies Other Manufacturing Engineering related duties as assigned Qualifications and Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
