Virginia Mason’s general medicine clinics provide long-term, comprehensive care in the office and the hospital, managing both common illnesses and complex problems for adolescents, adults and the elderly.  We perform Wellness Visits, which are dedicated to preventive measures and routine screening for medical conditions which can be improved with early detection and positive lifestyle practices.  

This position is a unique blending working in two different locations.  This is a 24 hours per week position- day shift.  2 shifts per week in our downtown Seattle location and 1 shift per week working in our beautiful Bellevue location.  This is the perfect position for someone who enjoys variety with a focus on preventative care.

 The responsibilities of the Registered Nurse includes:

  • Coordinating and facilitating quality management of a broad based outpatient population across the continuum of care.
  • Providing skilled triage and assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources,
  • Supporting the care team in the provision of patient care.
  • Providing patient advice
  • Opportunity to provide wound care.
  • Assisting in prioritizing daily work of the clinic
  • Providing direction to team members, including oversight of Medical Assistant’s clinical competency.
 

Qualifications:

  • Current Washington State licensure as an RN
  • CPR certification is required every two years
  • Bachelors of Science of Nursing
  • Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, current working knowledge of electronic medical records.

Preferred: Ambulatory care experience
