Senior Systems Engineer – Systems Integration, Verification & Validation

Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Everett, WA is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Model Based Systems Engineering team.

You will be responsible for developing and deploying Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) capabilities and solutions informed by Enterprise Program needs and MBSE, Model Based Engineering (MBE) and Affordability Solution technological roadmaps. 

Position Responsibilities:                                                     
Applies experience and knowledge of Systems Engineering processes to the development of Systems Engineering MBE solutions, including the tools, processes, and training needed to utilize the MBE capability on a program.

  Interacts directly with BCA and BDS Systems Engineering (SE) Leadership, Enterprise SME and Fellowship members, Boeing IT, and Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) resources to gain support and guide Enterprise resources for capability development.  Integrates and tracks development performance and risks, issues, opportunities to ensure on-time performance with first-pass quality for major capability deployments to programs across all business units.  Responsible for developing requirements and capturing use cases, performing trade studies, developing, integrating, and testing new and modified capabilities in support of the Model based system engineering solutions.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.

§ 120.15 is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in an engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

A minimum of 5+ years of experience with MBSE / MBE.

Experience developing and deploying Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) capabilities and solutions.

Experience with developing requirements and capturing use cases, performing trade studies, developing, integrating, and testing.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Previous experience with Digital Environment for Systems Engineering (DESE).

Experience with CAMEO modeling.

Experience with SysMl.

Typical Education and Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
