This is a Contract position in Moxee, WA posted April 24, 2021.

Press Brake Operator

The Press Brake Operator performs a variety of press brake operations on heavy steel plates, stainless steel and/or aluminum.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

* Demonstrates established knowledge and skill in performing set-ups and operating machines.

* Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, purifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequined of operations, and setup requirements.

* Select multiple-purpose and general-purpose brakes dies. Set dies and stops and adjust ram for varying plate thickness.

* Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required. Perform routine machine maintenance.

* Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Position Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

3 to 4 years related experience and/or training preferred.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; balance; bend and reach with hands and arms; use feet to operate foot pedal operation; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb ladders, sit, stoop, kneel, or squat. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
