Program Coordinator, Galvin Stem Scholars and Neuroscience MajorsUniversity of Notre DameThe University of Notre Dame (ND) is accepting applications for a Program Coordinator, Galvin Stem Scholars and Neuroscience Majors.Applications will be accepted until 6/1/2021. The program coordinator will provide administrative support split 50/50 between the Mary E. Galvin Science and Engineering Scholars Program and the Neuroscience and Behavior major program. The individual will be closely involved with processes and procedures related to all aspects of running these programs and assisting the directors of each program including: organization and communication regarding the recruiting and selection of program participants communications and management of databases in relation to monitoring progress for current program participants post-graduation tracking of participants programmatic assessment This position will also support day-to-day administrative activities for these programsAdministrative tasks will include: event and seminar planning and coordination updating the websites program communications and marketing facilitating travel and reimbursementGeneral administration and clerical support includes various student registration tasks, room reservations requiring fluency in key office/financial/supplies systems. The individual will also assist the Directors in interactions with other campus groups. Requires strong interpersonal, organizational and computer skills.The program coordinator contributes to project development and implementation; communicates with various units within the Division across the University and external to Notre Dame conducts limited report and project analysis provides operational budget coordination and limited review and other tasks as needed and assignedProgrammatic assessment: With assistance from Kaneb Center and from identified competencies, gather registrar reports, analysis of student course records, student assessments, analysis of competency development over program matriculation.The duties will include monitoring of student’s progress from the selection to the after-graduation placement and maintaining a database to generate various reports and statistics. The incumbent maintains communication with students and responds to their inquiries. The incumbent will also be helping in setting students up with UltraTime to reimburse them for various tasks (including tutoring, summer research and enrichment).The program coordinator works closely with the Director of Galvin Scholars Program and other parties involved helping with the initial selection of the scholars. This involves sending out invitations to apply to the program to a selected group of students, extensive communication with all students invited to apply to the program and setting up webinars with prospective scholars, as well as assisting in the Scholars selection.The program coordinator will also assist the Directors in interactions with other campus partners, including but not limited to the College of Science Dean’s Office, First Year Advisors, AnBryce Scholars Program, Fighting Irish Program and Balfour.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree.3 years experience in an administrative coordinator role.Preferred Qualifications:The ideal candidate must have strong communication and writing skills, including above-average spelling and grammar.Excellent interpersonal skills, organization, time management, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to multitask are imperative.The applicant must have a strong knowledge of computer operations and applications, including Google forms, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, as well as the ability to learn in-house and external computer applications.ABOUT NOTRE DAME:The University of Notre Dame, founded in 1842 by Rev.
