Description:Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) (Sub Acute Care I, Variables, 0.9 FTE) to Providence St.

Joseph Care Center in Spokane, Washington.

We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.In this position you will:Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.Complete and file required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge.Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physicianParticipate in employee performance evaluations, determining your shift’s staffing requirements, and making recommendations to the Nurse Supervisor concerning employee dismissals, transfers, etcInform nursing personnel of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment, etc.Participate in developing, planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service training classes that provide instructions on how to do the job, and ensure a well-educated nursing service departmentMonitor your assigned personnel to ensure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and suppliesQualifications:Required qualifications for this position include:Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN program.Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this statePreferred qualification for this position include:On-the-job training provided.About the ministry you will serve.Providence St.

Our Transitional Care Unit is designed for patients coming out of the hospital who need skilled nursing care, end of life care, or rehabilitation for those recovering from surgery or who have a functional loss from illness, disease, or an accident.
