RN – Outpatient- General Surgery Clinic

– 4:30pm   Virginia Mason’s General Surgery Breast outpatient clinic has an immediate opening for a full time day (40 hours per week) day shift clinic RN Monday-Friday.  In this position you will support our breast cancer patients as they navigate through their treatment pathway.  This position provides foundational support, patient and family education for their treatment options.    Here you will find that our Registered Nurses, physicians and other team members collaborate to provide the most positive patient experience possible.

  In this position you will: * Coordinate and facilitate quality management of a broad-based outpatient population across the continuum of care.

* Provide skilled triage and assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources for patients.

* Provide longer term follow up and coordination support of the bariatric surgery patient from pre-operative phase to post-operative follow up phase.

* Provide longer term follow up and coordination support of breast cancer surgery patients from pre-operative phase to post-operative phase.

* (Support the care team in the provision of patient care, to include communication and collaboration within the care team.

·       Current Washington State licensure as an RN
·       CPR certification is required every two years
·       Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred, but NOT required 
·       Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, current working knowledge of electronic medical records.
