A Eastern Washington Medical Center is seeking experienced PACU Staff Nurses to join their busy Ambulatory Surgery Center.The Perianesthesia Staff Nurse will be responsible for the coordination of patient care services for activities for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. As a patient and nurse advocate, the Same Day Surgery PACU Nurse will promote the optimal level of patient care.The PACU Staff Nurse will provide direct patient care in a robust and busy Ambulatory Surgery Services Department which features cutting edge technology throughout the 3 Operating Rooms. The Medical Center performs over 2,400 outpatient surgical procedures annually. The dynamic team of tenured surgeons perform a wide variety of procedures: Orthopedic, General, Obstetrics, Opthomology, OB, Endoscopic, and many more.The Same Day Surgery Staff Nurse will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality-nursing care in a patient and family centered care environment according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the Medical Center.The Peri-Anesthesia Registered Nurse will assess, plan, evaluate and document the nursing process in the Perioperative Department as needed. The Same Day Surgery PACU Registered Nurse ensure patient support through infection control processes, sterility assurance, and product and instrument availability.Reporting to the Nurse Director Perioperative Services, the Nurse Staff will assist in the overall management and leadership of the Ambulatory Surgery Center unit or groups of patient care units within Nursing Services. The PACU Nurse will be responsible for all clinical and operational activities of the units in accordance with the Medical Center mission, vision, and value.Located in the heart of the state of Eastern Washington’s wine country, the hospital is part of a financially healthy and expanding non profit health system.
