What are we looking for?  

We’re looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing Human Resources team. We aspire to be strategic business partners, informed consultants, and advocates for our business and people. This role is independently driven and demands a strong initiative and commitment., Strong interpersonal skills are a must as building relationships, trust, and partnership with our leaders and people is hugely important to the success of this role. To be successful in this role, you will bring 8+ years of experience in the Human Resources field preferable with direct HRBP (Human Resources Business Partner) experience.

 

Our team works collaboratively and partners closely with other areas within the HR department including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, HR Operations and our People Relation and the HR Business Partnership team.

As a member of our team, you will build and execute strong integrated HR strategies and initiatives for assigned client groups to support each client’s unique business needs and objectives. You will also consult with senior leaders on leadership behaviors and practices consistent with McKinstry values, and council coach and strategize with senior leaders within the company. Additional areas of focus include: 

Strategic Consulting 

As the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you will utilize your communication skills while serving as a strategic business advisor to senior leaders on a variety of organizational and leadership matters.

Creating and executing a lifecycle approach to talent management will be important as we focus on employee relations development, performance management, and career planning. Coaching our business leaders on leadership behaviors and practices to promote a culture of continuous growth and development will be essential. The person in this role will also provide HR programmatic and policy support to the company. 

Organizational Design  

Organizational savviness will be an important component through your partnerships. You will lead organizational design activities streamline and implement new team structures, roles and/ or processes that align with McKinstry’s values.

You will lead projects focused on building career paths and job frameworks with stakeholders. 

Employee Relations/Performance Management  

As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you will interpret and apply a strong understanding of corporate policies and practices, employment law and other regulations to provide advice, guidance, or clarification for employee relations inquiries.

When necessary, you will conduct and oversee employee relations investigations and consult with senior managers on how to address employee behaviors and concerns. 

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

A key aspect of this role will be contributing to expanding workforce diversity and building inclusive leadership practices with clients.

The person in this position will build a partnership with the DEI team to continue to develop and execute DEI plans. 

What we would like to see from you: 

BA in Business, Human Resources or equivalent work experience preferred. 

Solid working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee, and union relations, diversity, performance management and federal and state employment laws preferred. 

Experience leading others required. 

Eight (8) years of experience in the Human Resources field 

Knowledge and experience with HRIS systems required. 

Relevant DEI experience including navigating complex employee relations situations required.
