Assembly Shop Helper

Since 1917, Globe Machine has been a manufacturer of industrial machines, systems, and plants for advanced composites, building products, and pulp & paper.The Assembly Shop Helper will assist personnel within Assembly with general expediting of materials and parts, cleaning, and assisting the department in assembly and loading duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Check in parts ensuring all received parts are properly accounted for and organized.* Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within the Assembly department.* Ensure Assembly area is clean in appearance including removing trash and sweeping as required.* Successfully operate forklift and move pallets of goods throughout shop floor.* Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:* High school graduate or G.E.D. strongly preferred.* Minimum of two years of general assistant experience in a large machinery/equipment-manufacturing environment strongly desired.* Basic mathematical skills and ability to read a tape measure required.* Knowledge of machining procedures and the use of micrometers, calipers, and gauges preferred* Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus* Valid Washington State Driver’s License in good standing is required.* Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment, proactively contributing ideas to improve operations required.* Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments required.* Basic oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English required.* Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.* Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
