OSC Logistics Specialist – Seattle, Washington Washington

Summary:The OSC (Operation Service Center) Logistics Specialist schedules, prepares, and ensures delivery of instruments and implant sets for surgery in the Seattle area.

They are responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records of products as they flow through the territory.

Accountability of products missing from sets is crucial to ensure proper billings.

A solid understanding of company products, inventory, cycle counting, logistics and delivery schedules, operating systems, and warehousing procedures is critical.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes the following.

Other duties may be assigned.)Utilizes OSC Operation Service Center software application or designated Software Application System to schedule and prepare instruments and implant kits for to facilitate Surgery Case Scheduled ensuring timeliness and accuracy.Process all required order entry as directed to maintain and manage scheduled surgery cases on a daily basis.Perform all required OSC reporting to measure accuracy, utilization and validations while coordinating Mobile Logistic OSC and shipment schedules daily to ensure most cost effective delivery methods are being utilized.Maintain accurate and complete OSC Bill of Materials (BOMs) for all instrument and implant kits.

Maintain appropriate stocking levels for shelf stock & OSC kits.

Ensure First In/First out method is being performed for all products.

Ensure no expired product in all warehouse areas.Required to perform on call support as required.Assist during physical inventories and/or field cycle counts ensuring the office inventory PI preparation is performedPerform daily/period freight activity reviews on all FedEx and courier usage to ensure costing is correct and most economical.Utilize the established OSC Checklist for daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly required activities and duties.For funds, costs or Profits:Will impact asset utilization, Freight, Courier and MOSC expenses and utilizationFor Internal and External Relationships:Internal: Extensive interaction with sales management, sales reps, Field Inventory Supervisor, logistics staff, S&N CorporateExternal: Hospital customers and external vendorsLimits of authority:The position assists in the coordination of activity out of the operation center.

Position requires self-reliance, teamwork, and confidence for broad empowerment as directed by a senior OSC and/or the direct supervisor.Other job functions:There are non-essential job duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Minimum two years college with classes in operations, customer service or distribution desired.In lieu of college classes, a combination of education and above experience totaling four years is required.4 year Bachelor’s Degree is highly competitive.Computer skills:Microsoft Office Applications, basic PC Workstation operation, Excel and Inventory management system such as SAPPhysical demands:Standing, walking, sitting, and communicating professionally with othersUse hands and fingers to grasp, handle, and locate productStooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling along with pushing and pulling to reach low areas containing productReaching with hands and arms, as well as heavy lifting individually or as a team.

– 50+ pounds)Manual Dexterity:Requires the use of hands and arms to operate computer workstation, printer/scanner/copier, hand held and cordless scanner, general office and warehouse equipment, and to record written information.Audible/Visual: Performance is important for PC use.

Requires the ability to hear telephone conversations and discussions during meetings and instructions given; to connect with associates.

Visual to read Barcodes and inventory labeling.
