Pharmacist – Lead Specialty

This is a Contract position in Spokane Valley, WA posted December 2, 2020.

Purpose of Job:
Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by providing clinic pharmacy leadership to ensure quality patient care and financial viability as follows:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Creates, maintains and promotes positive staff relations and efficient patient care.
• Assists Clinic Administrator in resolving patient issues.
• Participates in performance management for team Pharmacists, including formal feedback, coaching and counseling.
• Identifies training needs and ensures completion of training for team.
• Works in cooperation with the Clinic Administrator to implement clinical and operational strategies.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities including staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other projects.
• Acts as pharmacy liaison, ensuring multidirectional communication throughout the organization.
• Acts as responsible pharmacy manager or pharmacist in charge, per state law.
• Performs other duties assigned.

Qualifications:
Experience/ Education: Rph or PharmD from accredited school of pharmacy. Current valid licensure in the State of Washington and/or Idaho required. Prior non-profit and management experience preferred. Prior leadership experience preferred.

Skills: Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Excellent organization and follow-up skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Computer skills required.

Physical Demands:
Pharmacists must be able to move around the facility between 1/3rd and 2/3rds of the day, sitting at a workstation occurs under 1/3rd of the day. Using hands and reaching with arms occurs over 2/3rds of the day. Communication is required over 2/3rds of the day. Climbing, stooping or crawling is minimal. Lifting up to 10 lbs occurs occasionally, while 25-50 lbs occurs infrequently.
