TitleEMT-B in Hazel Dell, WARequisition ID2021-17745LocationUS-WA-Hazel DellMore Information about this JobSUMMARY:Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls and delivers high quality patient care and customer service within the prescribed scope of practice, established protocols and company policies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrincipal ResponsibilitiesMaintains thorough familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements and quality assurance procedures in system in which assigned.Maintains awareness of any and all changes in the system components and company policy.Maintains the level and type of certification consistent with performing tasks in the system to which assigned.Complies with all state and company requirements for operation of motor vehicle.Operates a company vehicle in accordance with company policy and safe practices.Develops ability to quickly and safely locate addresses through knowledge of number systems and street layouts.Ensures that unit remains in a state of readiness in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supply and equipment, cleanliness and appearance standards.Reports immediately to the Lead Mechanic any discrepancies in vehicle or equipment standards that could compromise the unit’s ability to complete a call.Completes all appropriate documentation as outlined in company policy.Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the quarters to which assigned.Reports all problems and unusual occurrences immediately to the Lead Technician or Supervisor.Maintains a professional appearance by adhering to hygiene and uniforms standards.Maintains a level of physical fitness consistent with being able to lift and move patients weighing 200 lbs. with the assistance of a partner.Attends all mandatory in-services.Maintains a cooperative working relationship with allied health and public safety personnel.Principal AccountabilitiesComplete and accurate documentation of patient assessment and treatmentComplete and accurate documentation of patient statistical and billing information and services renderedAdherence to medical treatment protocolMinimum QualificationsEmergency Medical Technician training and certification as required by County to which assignedBasic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) certification for all EMT levelsFEMA ICS 100,200,700 and 800Emergency vehicle operation knowledgeRadio communication skillsThorough knowledge of medical supplies and equipment contained in the vehicleAbility to prioritize multiple tasksAbility to work independently and as a team memberAbility to employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areasAbility to read, interpret, and follow instructionsAbility to perform the essential job functionsRegular and predictable attendanceValid Washington State Drivers LicenseAcceptable drivingEEO StatementGlobal Medical Response and its family of companies are an Equal Opportunity Employer including Veterans and DisabledEOE including Veterans and Disabled
