Description:NOTE: Bechtel is an E-Verify employer subject to FAR 52.222-54 and Staffing Service will be required to use Department of Homeland Security’s electronic verification ( “E-Verify) system to verify employment eligibility of all persons assigned by the contractor to perform work for Bechtel within the United States and its territories.

WTP Human Resources will require Staffing Service to confirm that the selected applicant has completed the E-Verify process prior to extending an offer for this position.The Hanford Tank Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant located in southeastern Washington state will use vitrification technology to process and solidify 56 million gallons (210 million liters) of radioactive and chemical waste stored at the Hanford site, which is a byproduct of plutonium production during World War II and the Cold War era.The project is the largest undertaking of its kind and one of DOE’s most technically challenging cleanup projects.

Its construction spans 65 acres (26 hectares) with four major nuclear facilities Pretreatment, Low-Activity Waste Vitrification, High-Level Waste Vitrification and Analytical Laboratory as well as operations and maintenance buildings, utilities, other support facilities.The Waste Treatment Completion Company (WTCC) is a limited liability corporation created by Bechtel National Inc.

(BNI) and AMENTUM.

WTCC is a subcontractor to BNI, the prime contractor, to deliver the construction, turnover, startup, and commissioning activities for the WTP project.This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m.

to 5 p.m.

Selected applicant needs to be able and willing to work weekends as needed.This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control and supervision of Waste Treatment Closure Company.Job Responsibilities: Obtains required schedule information by all disciplines/functions.

Identifies restraints and effect on total project schedule.

Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs.

Responsible for total integration of schedule activities.

Identifies schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces. Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance of the total project.

Conducts project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities.

Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision. Responsible for leading, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans. Monitors cost recording, monitoring, and reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards. Responsible for the development and accuracy of cost reports.

Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency. Responsible for cost engineering and cost analysis/control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for discipline/projects/proposal cost activities which require a high degree of technical skilled experience.

Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to cost engineering guidance to area & functions.Basic Qualifications: Grade 26: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 9+ years of professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, high school diploma or equivalent and 15+ years of professional experience.Minimum Requirements: Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions, which include cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis, in the field and the home office. Must demonstrate good interpersonal teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision. Advanced level of proficiency in using PC operating systems and software applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 and COBRA software applications. Upon reporting, must be able to complete and pass a medical evaluation for badging purposes.

Must have full mobility, be able to walk on uneven or broken surfaces (rocks, gravel, etc.).

The examination includes, but is not limited to ability to pass blood pressure test, able to bend, twist, pull, push, climb, and lift more than 20 lbs. Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check which includes verification of employment and education. Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. Possess the legal right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.Preferred requirements: Previous Earned Value Management System experience on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) job. Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities. Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives. Demonstrated skill in identifying and analyzing issues and recommending corrective actions.
