This is a Contract position in Snoqualmie Pass, WA posted July 16, 2021.

Overview The Barista is responsible for promoting coffee, tea, and pastry sales by educating customers on offered products at a one person coffee stand. Prepares and serves a variety of coffee and tea drinks, as well as pastries and cookies. Takes initiative to get any and all jobs completed accurately and proficiently and is someone who doesn’t understand the term “not my job.” Responsibilities The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position. * Bar and retail products may be available * The Barista must value consistency and have pride and interest in the products we sell. Required to prepare drinks to standards and follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines * Educate customers by presenting, educating and answer questions about the menu * Must be knowledgeable about the Resort and surrounding areas in order to answer customer questions and direct accurately * Merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing products correctly. Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with the roster * Able to stand for duration of an 8 hour shift and work independently on unsupervised shifts. Multi-tasking is key! Demonstrates the ability to cooperate, communicate and work as a team player with co-workers, supervisors, and outside contacts. * Professionalism -Acts professionally and is respectful of others. Adherence to all uniform standards. * Attendance/Punctuality – Communicates absences and schedule changes in a timely manner. Promptness in reporting to work and adherence to break and lunch schedules. * Safety – Demonstrates safety consciousness with guests, resort and co-workers. Attends safety meetings and adheres to safety codes and procedures. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Previous barista or food and beverage experience is preferred. Previous customer service experience and cash handling required. Fluent in any language other than English a plus.
