Surgical Technologist ($10k Sign on Bonus + Relocation Assistance)

We have Surgical Technologist opportunities in Seattle that are eligible for sign on bonuses and relocation assistance! *This position is eligible for a $10k Sign on Bonus!* Seattle Children's is expanding!

In 2022, we will open 8 new Operating Rooms and 2 new Cardiac Catheter Labs, giving the organization a total of 28 surgical and procedural spaces across a total of 4 perioperative suites.

Designed in collaboration with the Periop multi disciplinary team, these new perioperative suites will provide unparalleled levels of patient and staff safety and comfort.

We have full time shifts available ranging from 0.9 FTE to 1.0 FTE, with various set start times. This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of $10k for qualified external candidates in addition to relocation funds. We're looking for a professional Surgical Tech who can work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and provide our patients with the care and support they need during surgery.

The Surgical Technologist will work directly with the surgeon and the circulating registered nurse.

The position's duties are highly variable, so the successful candidate must be willing to change direction at a moment's notice and keep pace with the other OR professionals on staff. Responsibilities:* Secure and prepare all supplies required for surgical intervention* Ensure the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field* Perform instrument counts prior to each procedure* Perform scrub functions* Collect and label specimens taken during surgical procedure* Follow all federal, state and departmental safety procedures* Duties may also include functioning in the OR core and turning over rooms We provide care to newborns-adults in the following services: Cardiovascular, Neurosurgery, Cranio facial, Robotics, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Urology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Dental/Oral, Orthopedics including Complex Spine, Transplant and Ortho-oncology. In accordance with House Bill 1155 (effective January 1, 2020), the following areas have clinical unpredictable needs and as a result will have a call obligation within their nursing positions: Apheresis, Cardiac Cath Lab, Dialysis, ECMO, Home Care Services, Imaging Services (including GI Procedures), Perioperative Services, and Transplant Coordinators. #LI-AM1 #LI-AM1 Requirements Required Education/Experience:
– Graduation from a Surgical Technologist Program OR applicable military surgical technologist course of study.

Required Credentials:
– Current Washington state registration as a surgical technologist (please note a CST is seperate from this registration)
– BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Preferred:
– Minimum one year of current operating room tech experience.
